Turnup the Runway brought the Let the Magic Happen networking series to Bliss Terasu, the terrace room at 6 Platt Street in Lower Manhattan, on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The ColorWalks Fashion & Arts Initiative and Turnup Music put it together with Social Impact Hollywood, doors at 4pm and the room running to 1am. The call was open to designers, models, creatives and artists, and that is exactly who filled the seats. What makes a night like this different from a fashion week show is the distance between the runway and the chair. There is no barricade and no press riser. The models walk a few feet from the people who might hire them, the designers are standing at the end of the runway watching faces, and the business gets done in the room between looks. The clothes ran the range, from tulle and beadwork to denim, streetwear and custom pieces, and the crowd gave every walk its flowers. Picatra worked the night for BOBBYSHAKES. Shooting a runway in a room this tight is its own assignment: the light is whatever the venue gives you, the walk is over in seconds, and the frame you want is the one where a model owns the floor or a designer sees their work land. These images are a New York fashion night built by the people in it.
