From the pit
Monday is supposed to be the dead night. Nobody told Hyde Park.
Mood Mondays runs every week at Boston Restaurant Bar & Grill on River Street, doors at nine, and on Monday, October 5, 2026, the room filled up the way it does when people decide the work week can wait. Ladies free, men ten dollars, and a lineup that has made this one of the most dependable dancehall nights in the city: DJ Handz, Scary Concepts, Mad Lion Sound and Team Stamina.
What makes a residency work is not one big night. It is showing up every week until the night becomes part of the neighborhood. Mood Mondays has done that. The selectors know the crowd, the crowd knows the selectors, and the music moves between foundation reggae, dancehall and whatever just touched the road that week without anybody needing to ask.
Shooting a room like this is different from shooting a concert. There is no stage to aim at and no set time to wait for. The story is on the floor: the friends who come straight from work, the regulars who own their corner, the moment a tune drops and the whole place answers. You keep the light honest, stay out of the way and let the night come to you.
Good vibes, good people, good music. That is the promise on the flyer, and on this Monday in Hyde Park, Mood Mondays kept it.
